What is our game?

'The Escape' is a 2D maze game, whereby the player is guided by their conflicting inner voices to suvive. The player must decide to if they wish to follow either the 'normal' sounding voice, or follow the 'crazy'. One voice is leading you to your safe exit,the other to your demise... You decide who's telling you the truth to ensure your safe exit.

Where did the idea come from?

Shaun, our main designer came up the idea whilst brainstorming at work with some colleagues. He wanted to challenge the user to follow their inuition, and question the information being fed to them by the NPC's.

How did we address the themes and keyword of the jam?

==============================

We explored and addressed the above theme/keyword with the core mechanic of our game. The player must 'access' their intuition and follow their inner 'voice' to safely escape.

Gameplay Instructions!

Our game may be played using standard WASD keyboard controls.

To control your flashlight, move the mouse in the direction you wish to look.

It's up to you to decide which of your inner voices you're going to follow; we hope that you reach the true maze exit and survive.

Known issues

We have identified an issue whereby the successful maze exists sometimes don't work properly... Whoops... Oh, and the voices sometimes don't work. But you get the idea...
